Description:
“This installation mixes the artificial and natural as well as the animate and inanimate. One of the most notable features of the work is the use of rock salt. Crystallized on land when the seafloor was uplifted due to tectonic movements in ancient times, we might call rock salt a ‘fossil’ of seawater. In Yasura’ s work, as a result of the entanglement of several factors, rock salt, a fossil born in the distant sea is hatched in this space and moment.” (Text: Yu Takagi)
